Saturday, May 3rd - Leaving SFO
The view from my seat
Lunch - Chicken and Rice. It tasted pretty good.
I tried this new contraption that keeps your head supported while you sleep. It actually worked pretty good so I'll try it again on the way home. It's hard to take a selfie with your eyes closed.
Sunday, May 4th - Almost ready to arrive in Amsterdam
They offer breakfast an hour before your flight arrives. I chose the eggs.
I arrived at Schiphol Airport and waited about 30 minutes to meet up with my colleague at baggage claim. We took a taxi together to our hotel. Our rooms were not ready so we went out walking and looking for lunch.
Typical houses along the streets in Amsterdam.
So many fun bicycles everywhere.
We did get a little rain when we were walking around but it wasn't that bad.
Lots of canals, boats and more bicycles!
Right in the middle of the trees you will see a narrow building in between 2 houses.
Debbie and I stopped for lunch at the Pancake Bakery. Look how I'm taller than the door. When you walk in you have to step down into the restaurant.
This is our savory pancake with tomato, pine nuts and goat cheese.
This is our sweet pancake with pears, chocolate, whip cream and ice cream.
This is our hotel.
